A little about my furbabies: Mason is an 11.5 year old all black Mini Schnauzer who I've had since he was 10 weeks old. He is an incredibly flamboyant, happy, loving soul dog. He has these very humanlike wise eyes, where you can tell he really sees the "true you." Mason has a high-pitched bark and a wonderful woo-woo-woooooo! We adopted Adele approximately 4.5 years ago from National Mill Dog Rescue. She was rescued from a puppy mill where she was a breeder momma living in a cage for 6 years. She came to us with almost complete atrophy, not knowing how to climb stairs, jump on our bed, or even bark. She loves to smell your face and hang out in her pillow fort on the couch. Snow white Adele (now approximately 10 years old) has turned into a beautiful princess and lives up to her name with a glorious "seal bark!"
We're currently fostering another puppy mill breeder survivor Frankie J (Liver & Tan 7 years old,) from the Rescue. He has been out of the mill for a few months and truly starting to learn the joys of being a loved Mini Schnauzer. Frankie J has some neurological issues with his back legs, and the Rescue is covering his medical expenses. He's certainly become a member of our pack and loves sleeping with his head on "Momma Adele's" back.
